The first time I heard of this anime this way: "The main character can kill by writing down their names in a notebook", I thought of it like some crap anime that's not worth to watch, but that changed later on.

This anime is so good, it made me watch it two times, and made me read the manga over five times.

Yeah well, my point here is that it's a really good anime, if you heard of it of some no-worth watching anime, then you're wrong. If you haven't watched it, you'll early understand the situation and what Kira, aka Light, the main character will do with it. If I were to watch it once more, I'm pretty certain I'd still get the awesome excitement you feel when you watch it the first time.
